The 2017 Tildenet Club of the Year Award was presented to Waringstown at the Cricket Ireland annual ceremony last week, in recognition of their outstanding 2017 season in which they secured a four-trophy haul, including the NCU Premier League.
On receiving the award and €1000 prize, Managing Director Alan Waite said:
“Waringstown greatly appreciate the €1000 voucher received from Tildenet as a result of being awarded Team of The Year at the Cricket Ireland Awards.
As the award goes directly against the purchase of equipment it allows the club to further enhance its ground capability.
We are particularly grateful as this is the 2nd time in three years we have received the award”
Tildenet have been supporting the development of Cricket Ireland since 2012 and have seen the popularity of the sport and the reputation of the team go from strength to strength during that time.
Having been awarded Full Test status by the ICC in 2017, next year Cricket Ireland will play host to a historic Test match against Pakistan, cementing Irish cricket’s place on the international stage.
