Portanet helps net Ireland a Victory

Local company Tildenet ltd, this week signed a contract as a sponsor of Cricket Ireland.

Fortuitously, Ireland A played Gloucester twos at Lansdown cricket club in Bath and so were able to practice in Tildenet’s recently launched Portanet.

Tildenet chairman and Bath resident, Joe Downey said “It was a good opportunity for the Irish team and their coach, West Indies international Phil Simmonds, to use the new Portanet,
which is an affordable, flexible, easy to install net system which can be used in many configurations. It clearly helped the Irish team who chased down 411 runs on the last day with 4 overs to spare!!”

Mr Downey added “We are delighted to be part of the development of Cricket Ireland, who along with Afghanistan are aiming for Test status by 2020″
