Tildenet Announce Sponsorship of Rising Bath Cricket Star

Tildenet, Bristol based leading sports equipment manufacturers, have announced their sponsorship of a Bath schoolgirl who is a rising star in Women’s Cricket offering her the opportunity to develop her skills and pursue her path towards elite level in the sport.
 
Cricket loving fifteen year old, Genevieve Donaldson, was selected to join the Somerset U18s tour to Sri Lanka in February 2022 having enjoyed success playing at club and county level and in the SW England Women’s Premier League.
 
Awarded Player of the Season at Bath CC, Genevieve has regularly played one or two age groups above her age  was part of the Bath Wanderers 2ndXI which won the South Gloucestershire Women’s League who named her Players Player of the Year 2021

Genevieve said:  "I was a bit nervous when Somerset asked me to play for the Under 18s last year when I was still only 14.  I tried to play my best and was happy when they kept me in the squad, and then to be selected for the Sri Lanka tour is brilliant!  I'm so grateful for all the help and support I've received from Tildenet to actually make the trip possible.  It's an amazing experience and a chance to learn so much, both on and off the field."  she added "it will make a nice change to be too hot instead of too cold for a while!"

Genevieve’s father, Rick Donaldson said:
 
 "Genevieve has shown an aptitude and love of cricket since primary school, and we've always tried to give her the best opportunities to develop and demonstrate her talent.  I'm delighted at her progress and her selection for Sri Lanka.  Getting her on the trip was looking to be a stretch too far for us, but when Tildenet stepped forward with an offer of sponsorship we were over the moon. 
 
 I'm so grateful that a company like Tildenet have been far sighted and generous enough to offer support to a young girl of great potential, in a sport where it is often only the elite levels that receive recognition.  It has already had an impact on Genevieve, and not just financially.  She is more determined than ever to make the most of her potential and repay others' faith in her.
