Agriframes, the designer of innovative elegant garden structures, cordially invites you to the opening of their new garden at Wisley on August 25th 2010, and the launch of their “Outdoor Living Collection,” the design collaboration by Mr and Mrs Llewelyn-Bowen. Set in the idyllic gardens of Wisley, join Laurence and Jackie from 3-6pm for a tea party amongst rose strewn trellises, jasmine scented arches, and wisteria covered pergolas. They’ll be magicians, jugglers, artists and storytellers lurking in the flowers, so come along for an afternoon of quintessential English style that combines family entertainment with the pleasure of dreaming up your own garden.
“As a designer,” Laurence says, “I believe influences come from everything around us. I’m lucky. I’ve been all over the world, and I’ve seen some extraordinary beautiful things.”
The Outdoor Living Collection came into fruition when Laurence and Jackie approached Agriframes at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2009, wanting to create a romantic range for their garden in Cirencester. Already, familiar with the company’s designs and quality, which they had used for their Cotswold kitchen garden, they set about amalgamating their talents and a year later at Chelsea 2010, The Garden Living range was launched.
An ideal solution for those clement days, The Garden Living range creates a changeable open-air garden room extension to the home. Each piece has the unmistakable Llewellyn-Bowen signature; style, elegance and glamour. Jackie and Laurence’s love of mixing nature’s colours with exuberant and eye catching creations, brings a sense of intimacy and fun into the garden with these ornate, boudoir-style designs. The range comprises six striking pieces: The romantic Cecile bench, a modern take on a Rococo inspired design with its graceful swirls; the Eliza arch with its poetic tendril shapes; the exotic Estella hanging basket; the Florence Obelisk with its contemporary twist and scrolled finial; the Lulu Pot Holder that can uplift the humblest of pots; and the Milli Trellis, a magical mix of flourishes inspired by the classical gardens of the golden age.
Each product is available in a choice of three colours: Kipling Pink, Antique Bronze and Flake Grey.
“No one wants to live with design so quiet it bores them to tears,” says Laurence Llewelyn Bowen.
Throughout the tea party, Laurence will be signing his new book “Decorating with Laurence Llewelyn Bowen,” to be released on the 1st August, and guests are invited to bring a drawing of their garden to enter into a prize draw, where the lucky winner will receive design suggestions by Laurence and Jackie themselves.
Renowned for crafting products of excellent durability and the highest quality, with this product Agriframes have created designer style without the designer price tag. The entire “Outdoor Living Set,” costs less than £500.
“The new range has been a huge success since its launch at Chelsea,” says Andrew Downey, director of Agriframes. “I’ve really enjoyed working with Jackie and Laurence over the past year creating this unique and romantic range for the garden. I was a little skeptical about the Kipling Pink at the design stages but it’s very Laurence and was actually a huge hit at Chelsea this year.”
So this Summer why not head down to Wisley for a family day out that looks after everyone and find out for yourself.
